Because dry risers are required to be placed on an external wall they can be prone to serious neglect and even vandalism. It is essential, for your own safety, that they are regularly maintained and inspected. As if this wasn’t enough incentive, should they fail to function when needed there is potential for severe penalties. They should be visually inspected and serviced every 6 months and, pressure tested annually.
We test and maintain existing dry risers to comply with BS 5306 part 1.
